Hi guys! I can’t believe we are in April already!, the so desire Spring season has brought lots of fun accessories, one of these trends are the turban headband! even though it’s a classic, there’re years that is a top trend like now. You can find them in every color and materials anywhere from Etsy to Zara, like the black leather one I’m wearing in the above picture, now, we don’t necessarily have to buy every single items that comes in fashion, most of the times we already have them in our closets not as hairbands but maybe a scarf or twilly, which is what I want to share with you.
I’m a big fan of scarves, I collect them all, foulards, stoles, twillys, squares, bandanas, etc. and I reuse them as turbans mostly in spring and summer for a casual boho look, or relaxing by the beach which I usually pack a few, mostly the oversized foulards to wear them as tops or sarongs, but I’ll tell you more of this on a later post.
while there are several turban styles, I prefer the classics, here a few pictures of how I wear them.
This Stole is long but narrow, it allows me to double wrap it and tie it to the front , tucking the ends under the knot.
This twilly color is not my most favorite but it was the only one here (I have split closets ) since they are very thin do double knot on the front and tie it to the back concealing the ends.
This I’d say is an oversized twilly, it only has one corner on each end, is not long enough for a double wrap so I tie it leaving the ends loose.
One of My favorite prints in this Emilio Pucci I bought like 8 years ago, I’ve worn it on my wrist, neck, head even on my bag handles, (I know ) I like the 70’s groovy print, all I’m missing here are my oversized sunglasses.
And last but not least, a classic 60×60 scarf, this is like a real turban, perfect to keep your hair in place on a windy day!
Here you have it ladies, I had fun doing this post, it truly represents one of my all time favorite looks, I hope to see you guys rocking a turban headband this season and don’t forget that what makes us unique is integrating the classics with current trends.
