From being an addicted online shopper, now I’m all about the In-store Experience, ever since I moved to San Antonio I started visiting the local boutiques and now I’m hooked to them, of course I continue doing my traditional shopping at the classic ones like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom etc. But there is something about the shop-local intimacy that I had never lived before, scroll down to read about what make them our first Top 5 in San Antonio.
It’s funny to say that what made me go to this boutique was their account on Instagram, seriously! They post their cute daily outfits taking their selfies in front of this beautiful Mirror, I can say I like that consistency in them, the girls who work there are gorgeous with lovely smiles and super good taste, I’ve seen them putting outfits together for clients from other cities, they try different choices on themselves, snap pictures and text’em out to them, it seems like they are having fun! I leave you the link of the interview I did at their store when I was looking for the perfect Rodeo outfit, this girl was beyond sweet and not only showed me around but also explained to me all I needed to know about Rodeo SA! Here are my picks on that day.

Chalet is a boutique that really has lots of things to offer, is very complete with a great selection of brands in clothing and jewelry but what got me the most was the makeup bar ! They have this section towards the end of the store stocked with the best beauty products including their own brand, which btw are free of toxins and all those impurities no make up should contain. Here the link to a Vlog we did earlier this year. Obviously I put my hands on a few pieces including this Skirt that I wore in one of my many birthday celebrations, I’ve received lots of complements, this Mark + James by Bagley Mischka, has so much detail in it, best part? it was on sale! They constantly have mark downs going on so, check their website often.
This one is literally my neighborhood boutique, yes! I’m that lucky! I window shopped there every single morning when I used to go to the OrangeTheory (a cool place to workout) my class was super early so the only thing I could do was staring through the window like a little kid does outside a toy store, weeks went by until I decided to stop by in the middle of the day, I actually made plans for this, I had spotted the coolest duster in a khaki color with ruffles around the waist, and that piece needed to be in my possession. The boutique is beautiful with a chandelier covered in flowers, a real statement! they have a curated selection from casual basics to in-trend tops, dresses and accessories, lately I’ve seen really cute long earrings on their posts. Something I admire in any type of business is the customer service, here is impeccable they’re always keeping you up to date by texting you the latest arrivals. Here, my favorite piece from the last visit to their boutique, this romper is something else! the cute sleeves make me feel very festive, the fabrics gives the structure holding everything together and well the flowers! In other words is the epitome of spring.
Another story that started on Instagram and I’ll never going to forget about it, I was suppose to have everything ready for the first photo shoot of Café Con Ellas, the photographer, MUA and location, were confirmed, the only thing I was stressing over was that I didn’t have anything to wear ( how did I let all this time pass by without considering my outfits? We were suppose to have 3 changes of clothes but I couldn’t find THE ONE, the one that made me feel special for this important day. So I started browsing pictures on Instagram looking for some Inspo, by then I was already following Chictique and I truly like he Effortless Chic style so once I was on her account I saw that little profile picture lit up, an insta- story why not, I can say that I almost never go from story to story on IG but this time some how I did, and there it was, she had taken this selfie modeling what I immediately knew I was going to choose as my main outfit, I DM her, she replied in seconds, I told her tha I needed THAT specific ensemble and voilà! a few hours later, despite that it was closed for the day, she met me at her show room after store hours, we made a couple of other selections and I was out in no time with my life resolved and ready to pose. Check her website and blog she has some killer style and don’t forget to follow her on IG, all the way to the stories!
This Hip boutique is in the heart of San Antonio, and they have it all, even a beauty salon, isn’t that cool? The styles they carry are a mix between local designers and big city trends, and if this is not enough reason to swing by, one of the owners is also a renown fashion stylist, she’s actually the one who introduced me to the brand of Samantha Plasencia, an Austin based designer that became quite popular for her original creations, like the top you see here, is a versatile piece, it could be a cover up, or a simple tee, I even wore it with a tank top underneath, leather legging and belted, for a nightclub, I can’t have enough of it.
And these are the reasons why I felt for these boutiques, I just wanted to share my experience with you, I’ll keep my eyes wide open to continue GROWING this list and feature new findings. See you soon!
