Top 5 Restaurants to try in Southtown San Antonio

You already know that we are super foodies and we continue to explore the city. Now we want to recommend some places, food and drinks that we liked quite a lot of Southtown.

La Tuna Grill

It is a place to relax, has a great outdoor space, is perfect for drinking, eating and having a good time. Here you cannot miss the Tuna Trio, Beer Battered Fish and Chips, or as an appetizer, fried mushrooms.  In addition, each month you can enjoy a sample of art pieces by local artists as well as the special beer of the day.

Stella Public House

This establishment offers high quality, baked pizzas with local ingredients and from the State of Texas.  My favorite Pizza option is Prosciutto & Arugula or a classic Margherita. This place has an excellent and varied selection of beers, there are many options but just ask the waiter and he/she will help you find the best one for your palate.  You can go for dinner or to enjoy a magnificent Brunch with a rich variety of mimosas.

Liberty Bar

The history of this bar is going to fascinate you, the founder mentions that the idea was born in a bookstore, in addition the restaurant is located in a former monastery of nuns.  The baked bread they offer is very good, you will love whatever you choose to order, from a Magic Salad to a Rib-eye Steak.  It is very popular for its bar because it has a wide selection of liquors, wines, beers and cocktails.

Feast

It is a formal restaurant with a Mediterranean cuisine, with appetizers, entrées and small plates created by the talented Chef Stefan Bowers. For dinner, we recommend Grilled Lamb Belly and the delicious Brussels Sprouts. To find a drink you will have no problem as they have a menu of wines, cocktails and local, imported, Texan and seasonal beer.

Bite Restaurant

This small restaurant has combinations, infusions and mix of trends that make each dish a delicious riddle. You will find incredible connection of haute cuisine and exquisite cocktails. Among my favorite dishes are the Escargots Comme D`Habitude and the Olive Duck, to drink you can ask for a Blackberry Lavender Smash, or if you prefer a Chilean wine or a California Pinot Noir.

Hola! Ya nos conocen que somos super foodies y seguimos explorando la ciudad. Ahora queremos recomendarles algunos lugares, comidas y bebidas que nos gustaron bastante de Southtown.

La Tuna Grill

Es un lugar para relajarse, tiene un gran espacio al aire libre, es perfecto para tomar, comer y pasarte un buen rato. Aquí no puede faltar que pidas La Tuna Trio, Beer Battered Fish and Chips, o como appetizer unos ricos champiñones fritos. Además cada mes puedes disfrutar de una muestra de piezas de arte de artistas locales así como la cerveza especial del día.

Stella Public House

Este establecimiento ofrece pizzas de alta calidad, al horno, con ingredientes locales y del Estado de Texas.  Mi opción preferida de Pizza es la de Prosciutto & Arugula o una clásica Margherita.  Este lugar tiene una excelente y variada selección de cervezas, hay muchas opciones pero sólo pregunta al mesero y te ayudará a encontrar la mejor para tu paladar. Puedes ir a cenar o disfrutar de un Brunch magnífico con riquísimos sabores variados de mimosas.

La historia de este bar te va a fascinar, el fundador menciona que la idea nació en una librería, además el restaurant está localizado en lo que cuentan, que era un antiguo convento de Monjas.  El pan horneado que te ofrecen es muy bueno, cualquier cosa que ordenes te va a encantar, desde una Magic Salad hasta un Rib-eye Steak. Es muy popular por su bar ya que tiene una amplia selección de licores, vinos, cervezas y coctelería.

Feast

Es un restaurante formal con alta cocina del mediterráneo, con appetizers, entrées y “small plates” creados por el talentoso Chef Stefan Bowers. Para cenar, recomendamos Grilled Lamb Belly y las deliciosas Brussels Sprouts. Para encontrar una bebida no tendrás problema ya que tienen un menú de vinos, cocktails y de cerveza local, importada, Texana y de temporada.

Bite Restaurant

Este pequeño restaurante tiene combinaciones, infusiones y mezcla de tendencias que hacen de cada platillo un delicioso acertijo. Podrás encontrar increíble conexión de alta cocina y exquisitos cocktails. Entre los platillos favoritos están los Escargots Comme D`Habitude y el Pato Olivo, para tomar un Blackberry Lavender Smash, o si prefieren un rico vinito de Chile o un Pinot Noir de California.
