I don’t have a 20/20 vision and on top of that Photophobia, I was prescribed those transitional lenses when I was in middle school,(which I refused to wear) instead, I tried contacts and sunglasses, sometimes I’d prefer having my eyes tearing under the sun light than wearing those ugly glasses (yes they were ugly). I think all this identity trauma was the cause for my unstoppable affection for sunglasses, since then I’ve owned hundreds of them some good some cheap all that matters is that they are the best accessory, an insta-sin-concealer/mood-booster.
A lot has been said about wearing the right frame for the right type of face and features, I agree to disagree, it’s true that there are some symmetrical considerations that we should value but honestly, we are talking about sunnies not jeans or dresses. I don’t give it too much thought when I’m shopping for shades, as long as I like them and they have a good UV filter to protect my poor orbs I’m happy, I don’t stick to a color, shape or brand, but I do appreciate a good design, top quality materials and if they are handcrafted like Dita’s uff! I start feeling butterflies in my stomach and this doesn’t go away until I buy them 💘 Yes Sunnies are my soft point, Sometimes is worth spending a little fortune to get a new pair of good looking eyes.
Here I leave you the styles I’ve been wearing, these are show stealers so if you end up buying anything from my suggestion don’t feel bad if people don’t pay attention to your #OOTD they are just too busy admiring your great taste. No Kidding ☺️
