Hola amigos! I want to share with you this trip I made to Punta Mita Nayarit, one of the top destinations for this year.
So after 1 minute of non stop research the hubs decided to stay at The Four Seasons why here? because he wanted to play golf in this course, just like that, but I accept that we couldn’t be wrong with his choice.
But first let me tell you that I’ve been to Puerto Vallarta several times, and I mean like almost every weekend when I was living in Guadalajara a few years back, our life was boating during the day and bar hopping at night, but again, that was before the babies, today, in my dreams only.
10 years have passed and I see that PV has grown a lot, modern developments, CHIC restaurants and galleries yet, it still has its I can’t walk in heels on these cobblestone streets type of charm but this time ,we really wanted to isolate ourselves in a more peaceful environment, this is when I realize that age is not only a number.
Anyway, Punta Mita is only 42km from Pto Vallarta in the same bay but you can see a huge difference in everything, for instance in this side, the peninsula has clear turquoise waters and white sand beaches it’s very relaxing just gazing at the horizon thinking what food you should order next.
The service at this hotel is outstanding as any other Four Seasons, I completely recommend it, the personnel makes you feel welcome, greeting you with a real smile (the one that includes the eyes too) every time they see you; side note, this is the way I’ve always been treated by my fellow Mexis at any hotel in Mexico.
A fresh seasonal fruit is replaced in your room every morning.
The main reason of this getaway was our anniversary, 12 years! and we always have the same dilemma, we want to go places to celebrate it but it breaks our hearts leaving our children behind, therefore we end up making quick trips to the nearest possible destination.
Cabana at the Manzanilla’s beach. Drinking cocoloco. Fun fact, there is this guy whose job is to clean your sunglasses. It does makes a huge difference!
while at the beach, the cabana is where I spent most of my time, eating of course, but the food is so fresh that I didn’t even gain a pound.! wink wink!
Nothing like fresh ceviche and guac.
their 3 leches cake has no comparison, like revenge, is served cold, but with a hint of coconut, is the perfect amount of sweet .
Cora is their own brand beer, I don’t drink beer but this one is matured in Tequila barrels, aha! I know what you’re trying to do here guys!. my husband loved it!
The view from the cabanas

One cool thing is these floating beds on the main beach.
A night in town
We made it out of the hotel for one night only, reason being our reservation at Cafe des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta, I couldn’t miss this one, is one of the best, (if not the best) places to enjoy fine fusion cuisine, excellent service in a casual chic atmosphere with a pianist and violinist granting any request, it doesn’t get better than this. Here I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Thierry Blouet who is an icon, also known for his support and encouragement to emerging chefs. check their instagram.

He also has another restaurant in Punta Mita, Tuna Blanca, amazing! Decorated in tones of turquoise and sand, their 5 course menu was very generous, ideal for sharing. Some of you got to see on my Instagram stories dessert been served on a surfboard ! so creative.
Last but not least, we went sailing. The hotel concierge took care of all the details, the company they hired is Vallarta adventures , they are simply best! Captain Carlos and Silvino were very kind and attentive, we were out for four hours, had our delicious lunch and watched dolphins alongside.
